Safeguarding Against Aggressive Antisocial Behaviour through Sport
We have been fortunate enough to have provided our services to Staffordshire county council, Wolverhampton city council, Catch 22 to name a few. Whilst undertaking much of this work, it has highlighted that sport is a huge tool to engage young people to bring about behaviour change.
Sport is the environment where boundaries, rules, making positive decisions, social interaction can all be installed and transferable skills utilized within the classroom and outside of school. Therefore we use Sport as a tool to tackle aggressive and antisocial behaviour to achieve our desired outcome, developing disciplined and well integrated young people.
SAAAB Through Sport promote professional practice and encourage a proactive response to supporting young people to manage their own behaviour.
We are committed to providing holistic bespoke programmes and training programmes for educational organisations who work with some of the most vulnerable and most challenging young people in the UK.
Our aim is to share good practice and to encourage a proactive response to supporting young people to manage their own behaviour at key stage two, three and four and Implement behaviour management strategies and systems that can effectively be measured and analysed and put specific interventions in place to support organisations, families and the young person.
We envisage Schools/PRUs etc to utilise our preventative approaches to avoid exclusions and implement strategies to meet the needs of the young people.
Our values are built on trust. Every decision and action taken is considered with integrity and trust as a foundation and with the intention to improve outcomes for all young people engaging in SAAAB.
Trust arrives a result of truth over time. We will be truthful with associated agencies, stakeholders, schools, young people and families in order to build trust and improve/ develop the young people we work with.
Being responsible and taking responsibility is crucial and must be built upon in order to achieve success both in school and beyond.
We must be unified in decision making and demonstrate unity when interacting with one another, working as a team to achieve the desired outcomes.
We will always be safe and considerate of safety for one another. We strive to lead healthy and happy lives through thoughtful interactions, good choices and positive mental well-being).
We are tolerant of all, irrespective of age, gender, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation. Tolerance is the cornerstone of society and the very essence of being British.
